The 1 st B.D.S students(batch of 2022-2023) of Gitam dental college & hospital have been selected for the prestigious “Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarships”.

Reliance Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship supports meritorious students from all parts of the country for pursuing undergraduate college education in their chosen stream. The selected scholars will receive a scholarship of up to Rupees 2 lakh, over the duration of their degree programme. Gitam dental college & hospital had provided the opportunity and necessary support for interested students to participate in the Reliance scholarship exam conducted by the Reliance foundation on 20.02.2023. A total of 50 eligible students from Ist BDS had enrolled and participated in the exam. It is a matter of pride that 9 students from Gitam dental college & hospital were selected for the meritorious Reliance award, the highest among all Dental colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh!

On the Occasion of International Yoga Day, 21-6-2023, which was organised in Swarna Bharati stadium, Dr Gautam, Professor in Gitam Dental College & Hospital and Director of Kids Dental, Dr Radhika, Director of Dental Lounge and Dr Tulasi Rao, Professor of Yoga in Andhra University have written a book titled "Yoga and Dental Hygiene", which was released by the Collector, Jt. Collector, Mayor and GVMC commissioner of the city of Visakhapatnam.

The National Oral Medicine & Radiology day is celebrated every year on 24^th April. Our college alumna Dr. AISHWARYA GANGURI performed a classical dance with her team in " Nada Neerajanam", a daily cultural concert platform right next to the Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirumala Tirupati on 10-05-2023. Dr Aishwarya Ganguri is of BDS class 2013, and she is also a graduate in Fashion designing. Her main focus is on promoting Indian Handlooms and Cultural Artforms. She is also the current Joint secretary, Khadi Designer Council of India, Andhra Pradesh Branch.
